As many people ask themselves waaaat they should do for work of in life in general, waat wants to make finding answers to these questions easier. Waat’s purpose is to offer information about what kinds of professions there are in the world, What people actually do in these professions, and how they like what they do.

FOR high-schoolers and STUDENTS, waat would like to make them to pay attention to two things - to think about the actual daily work they would be doing in a few years (not only about what it would be like to study, that’ll last a while). ALSO, it’s important to think what you would actually enjoy doing. disliking something 8 hours/day sounds insane!

NEW DATA WILL BE ADDED ALL THE TIME, the eventual purpose being covering all possible professions from cleaners to cheese sculptors to politicians. In case you have any questions of feedback about waat, please contact

Could you describe your job in short?

I work in a B2B software company, and am responsible for all marketing execution, and also planning of our marketing activities (in cooperation with two other team members). My work consists of creating content, arranging webinars and events, creating email newsletters and user newsletters, managing our company website and social media, and also planning of digital advertising, and also some basic graphic design tasks. Occasionally, I take care of some HR and invoicing tasks.

What do you do on average work day?

On a usual day, I start my day around 9am by going through my emails and checking my agenda for the day. My tasks vary a lot depending on the week, month, and day. Some days are obviously more busy than others. However, on an average day I might have a meeting or max two, either internally with my team members, or for example with some partner (related to advertising, marketing etc). I spend a lot of time doing independent work; writing, reading, planning, using the company software, sending emails etc. My average work day ends usually around 5pm, and I rarely work overtime.

What do you love about your job?

Its versatile and interesting, and consists both of independent and group/team work. It includes both routine tasks, and the possibility to develop and learn something new. That fits me well. I don't get bored, and develop constantly in my work. On the other hand, the work isn't very stressful or too demanding, which is good.

What are the worst parts of your job?

Sometimes the schedule might be really tight, and you have to be able to prioritize and work well under pressure. However, not every day is like that, so I don't consider it as a problem.
