Our company provides different solutions for indoor gardening. Our focus is on retail to end consumers, but due cooperation with our competition some B2B sales is involved.
In our company I handle everything that would be categorized as a desk job: paying bills, inventory management, making orders, updating Facebook, answering customer email, you name it. I also do deliveries and one or two shifts in our shop per week.
I really don't have a daily routine when it comes to work but an average day would be something like this:
I wake up at 9-10 am. and check online orders. If there are any I usually deliver them to Posti or Matkahuolto during the same day. Before heading to our store for the deliveries I usually pop at our storage room. I pick up whatever items we need in our store and head there.
I usually, if not in a rush, spend few hours in our shop with my employees and help out with customers. I often pick up take-away lunch for us from a nearby restaurant and we have lunch together.
After finishing deliveries I head back home to go through mail, pay bills, check inventory, organize and make orders and so on. Often I am able to finish before 5pm.
What I love about my job is that I am able to work with my close friends and the thing I love about being an entrepreneur is that all the decisions and actions I take are reflected to the results we get. There is this sense of achievement present, which I love.
Usually when things go wrong it means that I have to spend lot of time on a phone, or in a call queue.
In my opinion to acquire and develop through experience, by doing, and it helps to be open minded, try new things and to be in new situations.
